Team Overview
We are a Jr development Team using cycling and life to create “Rouleur” athletes and people with a developed purpose, passion and personal power.
Definitions:
Rouleur: All-rounders, often the hardest riders in the peloton who excel in all different terrains and conditions
Purpose: The Reason for which something is done or created
Passion: The willingness to suffer for that which we love.
Personal power: The ability to influence others and events through one skills, attitude, mannersisms, habits and character.
With a focus on creating Rouleur athletes and people, we have found that we love working with riders who have a passion for the sport and are looking for ways to better themselves. We also love helping people working to develop that passion for the sport. To accommodate that passion and their different levels we have created different levels within our program to help riders grow and develop and reach their potential in a way we have found to be successful.
Our National team takes the majority of our time, focus and attention due to the extended travel times for races and increased training requirements. That said we still put a lot of attention and focus on our Race and Devo programs to help these athletes progress and develop their skills and fitness. We believe that progression is one of the necessary keys to developing that lasting passion and personal power.
With official practices beginning in the Spring and many different races still pending date confirmation, we will plan to attend many races throughout the year including many US Cup Series or national races, potentially an occasional ICUP race, some weekly race series or mid week events, P town cross, and maybe even some international events, Leadville race series or road and gravel events. Sometimes all this racing makes it so we are not able to make it back to hold a practice every potential ride day March – June but we really try to have as many practices as possible for our Race and nationla team riders. Please understand that while not perfectly consistent, we really do our very best to help you grow the best we can. We also encourange you all to come to any of the races we attend and we promise that if you do, you will grow even more.
We will plan to hold a firm 7 Devo team practices that will be on either Tuesdays or Thursdays mixed throughout the spring once we have a better understanding of the schedule and we will also work around the spring weather. For the Race and National team, I expect to have around 15-20 Race and National team practice sessions throughout the spring. Most of those will be held on Mondays or Wednesdays pending race schedules and weather as well. We will also hold some on Saturdays on occasion as well as team rides at each of the team races as a part of the program. In addition to our rides, we will have a couple extended weekend camps for National team members as well as invited Race team members and we will plan to hold a Rouleur practice on this years Utah NICA State championships course to help you prepare for that race as well once that season rolls around.
We will utilize team snap to communicate to you about all the team rides and details.
We have four membership pathways which encompass all potential team riders.
