ABOUT ROULEUR DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Using cycling as a catalyst to develop young athletes, finding their passion in endurance sports. Developing leaders through goal setting, hard work, determination, and commitment.
Rouleur Development was founded April 2015, with a specific agenda, MORE KIDS ON BIKES. A true grass roots beginning, this organization grew quickly as word of mouth spread around the Wasatch front. 65 athletes and 30 ride leaders help mold and build vwhat the program will become in 2016.
We plan on growing cycling by catering to youth and having weekly training rides supported by qualified coaches and volunteers. We will hold clinics to help improve bike handling and increase technical skills with professionals cyclists like Bart Gillespie, Alex Grant, Jenn Hanks, Sarah Kauffman and more. We encourage kids to race and will have support at many of the local races as well as a handful of regional races. We start in April and run through July where many of the riders will start their High School Mountain bike season.
This program is for youth ages 12-18 with at least one year of experience, but we also are working with the TRIKES to TRAILS program to help the younger group.
